The money must be available and is an estimate of what you would require to support yourself and your family without employment or other income. As part of your deliverables, you will also be required to upload any bank documentation that outlines your current available funds from a personal account. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ONE BANK STATEMENT PER CO-FOUNDER THAT IS APPLYING ON THE STARTUP VISA CERTIFICATE.* Please also note that you should receive advisement from your immigration lawyer on how much exactly should be stated on the statement as amounts will varyThe funds must be:1. Available and transferable2. Free of debts or other obligations* Please note that the amounts listed below are the very minimum that is required by the government and does not take into consideration the fees required by our Maple Program or any other additional fees that may be incurred. These are also the required amount for a 6-month time frame (PR) but if you want to apply for a Work Permit, please make sure to double the amount provided down below so that it is equivalent to a 12-month time frame. The amount of money required is determined by the size of your family and these amounts are updated every year. Please refer to the “Proof of Funds” page to make sure you have the most recent information. For Proof of Funds, you must get official letters from any banks or financial institutions where you are keeping your money. The letters should include:Printed on the financial institution’s letterheadInclude their contact information (address, telephone number and email address)Include your nameList outstanding debts such as credit card debts and loansInclude, for each current bank and investment account:Account numbersThe date each account was openedThe current balance of each accountThe average balance for the past six month*Please also note that the Canadian legislation requires all people entering Canada to declare cash funds (Money (coins/banknotes), securities in bearer form (stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills), negotiable instruments in bearer form (bank drafts, traveler’s cheques, money orders etc) of $10,000 CDN or more. As part of your deliverables, you will be required a recent bank statement or other financial documents with a signed statement. This will be required for each of your team members that you are applying and please ensure that these documents are an accurate reflection that meets the Settlement Funds required by the Canadian Government. When you are submitting your financial records, please make sure that they are transcribed in English. You may also combine multiple documents onto one file when you are ready to upload all required documentation for your Roadmap.⏰ Average Time for Completion: 5 WeeksSubmission: Submit your Proof of funds (bank statements or financial documentation) below.
