#19 Accelerate Progress - Part 3 Generate AI Transcript and Summary Offline Events

Put together a one-day mini-conference.

Pull together a few regional speakers to speak during the day.

Host it at a university, and leverage its resources.

You may need to make a professor one of the speakers to make it work.

Sponsor several local events and ask to speak for a few minutes about what you’re working on at the beginning of the events.

Speaking

Contact three local meetup group organizers relevant to your product and ask if you can speak at an upcoming event. Present your company in the context of your personal story.

How did you come to be where you are today?

How are you uniquely solving a problem with your product?

What are your ambitious plans?

Pitch a talk at a regional conference.

Community

Join three online forums where your customers hang out and engage on at least twenty threads on each. Do this over a month so you don’t look spammy.

Truly engage as a useful member of the community

Include references to your product where appropriate and in your signature. Don’t just plug your product directly.

Start putting together your own community using an online forum tool.

Hit The Bullseye

We’ve discussed 19 possible channels you can use but

“You should only work on things that could potentially move the needle on your goals.” Gabriel Weinberg

Possible

Start with and idea and a strategy for each of these channels

Make sure you have a clear goal and you have a definition of success

“At any stage in a startup’s life cycle, one traction channel usually dominates in terms of customer acquisition” Gabriel Weinberg

Probable

So you need to select the best 3-6 channels you think are going to work

Run cheap tests, find out what works

Run multiple experiments

Working

Find the most promising channel

The one that moves the needle

When you find that channel, you’ve hit the bullseye

Once you do, experiment more and do your very best to optimize

Take whatever is working and scale it.

Suggested Prompts

How can you effectively balance exploring multiple traction channels with focusing your efforts on the most promising ones?
