Heli program details

The Heli Program was created by Launch to help aspiring founders turn their ideas into businesses. Heli is a proven comprehensive program built to help get your business idea off the ground as well as build a roadmap for growth while leveraging the stability and opportunities of being a Canadian company.

Heli is your landing pad with all the resources you need to overcome the challenges that occur when moving a business and family to Canada. Heli is a 12-month program broken down into multiple chapters, each designed to provide you with information, resources, and tools to help you build your startup.

Part 1 - Build

A comprehensive step-by-step guide to help you through every step of your entrepreneurial journey. Heli helps you turn your idea into a business with resources, strategies, and a community to aid you with your product validation and growth. In this phase, you will be provided with the A-Zs of building your startup, designing your MVP, attaining product-market fit, and scaling your company.

Part 1 will be taking place virtually over the course of 12 months. During this year, you will be able to manage your time however you like and build your startup at your own pace on a full-time or part-time basis.

During your Heli course, you will learn about many topics including:

Laying the foundations of your startup and identifying opportunities Analyzing your competitors and the market Testing and validating your idea Building your MVP, Website and Landing page Finding your product-market fit Developing your business model and your pricing strategy Pitching your company to customers and investors The basics of marketing, finance, fundraising and PR Developing your brand on social media Leverage the different sources of funding in Canada (grants, non-dilutive funding, etc.)

Part 2 - Immigration

The objective of the Immigration part of the Heli program is for companies to build out their Roadmap, incorporate their company, and plan their immigration route. Upon successful completion of the assignments & deliverables, benchmarks, and approval from the Launch team, you will then be issued a Letter of Support, which you will need to apply for your Canadian work permit (optional) and eventually for your Permanent Residency application.

During your immigration process, we will be working closely with your immigration representative to make sure you stay in compliance with the legislative requirements for Permanent Residency under the business immigration programs including the Start-Up Visa program.

During this phase, you will apply for applicable Visas including Canadian Permanent Residency & a Work Permit (optional), and get supplemental support on applying for a U.S. L1 Visa if needed (optional). You will also get access to different lifestyle and landing pad support resources for your team members & families.
